The Bibi-Heybat Mosque is one of the most spiritually significant and architecturally magnificent Islamic landmarks in Baku, Azerbaijan. Standing proudly on the shore of the Caspian Sea, the current majestic structure is a flawless 1990s reconstruction of the original 13th-century historic mosque that was completely destroyed by the Bolsheviks in 1936.
